Whole day dedicated to visit Lisbon, the anthem of color, perched on seven hills on the banks of the Tagus, this city is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful capitals of Europe. Together we will discover the Belém district with its prestigious monuments erected in memory of the century of the great maritime discoveries: The Monument of the Discoveries, the elegant Tower of Belém, fort of the fifteenth century built on the Tagus and the Monastery dos Jerónimos – testimony of the gratitude of the country to the navigator Vasco da Gama for the discovery of the course of spices, maritime route to India. We will continue with a visit to the heart of Lisbon "a Baixa" (lower town): Don Pedro IV Square, known as “Praça do Rossio”, “Plaça do Comércio”, and finally visit the most traditional and ancient district of the capital "Alfama", a real maze of coves with wrought iron terraces and its houses covered with majolica (azulejos). Visit the Cathedral and the Church of S. Antonio. Dinner in typical restaurant with FADO show. Transfer to hotel and overnight.

After breakfast departure to OBIDOS, charming medieval town surrounded by walls of the XII century perfectly preserved. Continuation to the beautiful town of ALCOBAÇA, which owes its fame to the development of the Monastery of Santa Maria, founded in 1153 by the Cistercians. Continue to BATALHA to visit Monastery of Santa Maria da Vitoria (fee entrance of the cloister), Gothic-Manueline masterpiece was built to celebrate the victory of the Portuguese against the Spanish and in memory of the maritime conquests. We will continue to Nazaré typical fishing village and picturesque beach that has been able to preserve its traditions. Visit to Nazaré, the center and the "Sitio" where we can admire the view of the lower part of the village and the immense beach, not to mention the "Praia Norte" known for its huge waves. Free lunch.

After breakfast departure to Aveiro, called the Portuguese Venice, a town that stands on a large lagoon and has a picturesque old town with buildings in liberty style, crossed by two canals along which flow the typical boats tapered from the swan neck bow with lively naif decorations ("os Moliceiros"). Continuation to Porto, the second city in Portugal, declared a World Heritage Site in 1996. The charming facades of its palaces, covered with bright tiles (Azulejos), give a particular charm and create a perfect combination of ancient and modern. Porto is an ancient fishing town, built on the banks of the Douro, full of special folk traditions. Visit the old town to discover the "Rua Santa Catarina", the "Bulhão" market and the Avenida dos Aliados. Visit the Cathedral of Porto. We will continue to visit the famous Torre de los Clérigos (exterior), idealized by the Italian architect Nicolò Nasoni and also the São Bento Station decorated with its beautiful white and blue tiles. Visit the oldest and most traditional district of the city, on the banks of the Douro River, the "Ribeira" district, with multicolored houses resting on the rocks. Then visit one of the 80 Port wine cellars for tasting this precious wine. Free lunch.

After breakfast departure to the "green" region of Portugal, the Minho. First stop in Viana do Castelo, an elegant city with sumptuous buildings in "Piazza della Repubblica". Then we will visit Valença do Minho, a small fortified town, strategically located on the top of the Minho River, near the Spanish border. This border city was the first line of defense against the attacks of the neighboring country. Continuation to Ponte de Lima. Visit of its bridge, ex-libris of the city. In reality they are practically two bridges in one, because there is a larger medieval section that begins on the left bank and extends up to the Church of Santo António. Then, we will visit the remaining section of the Roman bridge. We continue towards Braga, the second Portuguese religious shrine, known as the "Portuguese Rome" for the wealth of churches. Breakfast at the hotel and departure towards Guimarães, center of textile industries, trade and crafts and especially of cutlery and goldsmiths. Visit the Palace of the Dukes of Bragança, massive construction of the XV century. Next stop in Amarante, a city washed by the river Tâmega and crowned by the Convent of São Gonçalo. Amarante is a city rich of culture, history and with a great religious and architectural heritage. Visit the church of São Gonçalo and walk through its streets and alleys to discover some of the most famous stories that hide behind this romantic air of Amarante. We will continue towards the Douro Valley, the oldest demarcated wine region in the world and classified as a World Heritage Site. Free lunch.

Breakfast and full day dedicated to the traditions of the Douro. Visit to a traditional "Quinta" of wine production and the traditional Moscatel of Favaios (one of the most known and appreciated in Portugal). We will visit the Gardens of the Enoteca, enjoying a "Moscato d'Onore", at the sound of the concert. Guided tour of the Enoteca where participants will learn about the traditional process of vinification of Port and Moscatel wines. Typical lunch of the Douro region. Meal prepared in iron pots and in the good way of the ancient customs of the art of good food, always accompanied by stories and music. After lunch cruise in the traditional boats "Rabelo" on the river Douro. At the end of the day return to the hotel for dinner and overnight.
