After breakfast departure for OBIDOS, charming medieval town surrounded by walls of the XII century perfectly preserved. Continuation to the beautiful town of ALCOBAÇA, which owes its fame to the development of the Monastery of Santa Maria, founded in 1153 by the Cistercians. Continue to BATALHA to visit Monastery of Santa Maria da Vitoria (fee entrance of the cloister), Gothic-Manueline masterpiece was built to celebrate the victory of the Portuguese against the Spanish and in memory of the maritime conquests. We will continue to Nazaré typical fishing village and picturesque beach that has been able to preserve its traditions. Visit to Nazaré, the center and the "Sitio" where we can admire the view of the lower part of the village and the immense beach, not to mention the "Praia Norte" known for its huge waves. Free lunch. At 21:30 at the Shrine, possibility to attend the Rosary and the Torchlight procession.

After breakfast visit the Shrine, the Chapel of the Apparitions, the Basilica of the Holy Trinity and the Basilica of Our Lady of the Rosary. The place is linked to the apparitions of Madonna to the three little shepherds, Lucia, Francisco and Jacinta, which took place in 1917, a pilgrimage destination for millions of faithful every year. Visit the Light and Peace Exhibition that collects thousands of precious objects. Free lunch. After lunch we will continue to visit Valinhos and Aljustrel, the birthplace of the three shepherds and the place of the Apparition of the Angel. Return to the hotel for dinner and overnight.

After breakfast departure to Coimbra, once the capital of Portugal, it is called the city of students because it is home to one of the first universities in Europe. Visit of the old town: Sofia's street, the Church of Santa Croce where S. Antonio became a friar. Coimbra is also the city where the visionary of Fatima, Sister Lucy, lived until her death. Visit its beautiful and remote University, one of the oldest in the world, and its library (subject to availability). Free lunch.
After lunch departure for BRAGA second Portuguese religious shrine, known as the "Portuguese Rome" for the wealth of churches. Climb to the Bom Jesus Sanctuary, with its spectacular baroque staircase and visit of the ancient Cathedral. Accomodation, dinner and overnight to the hotel.

Departure for SANTIAGO DE COMPOSTELA, certainly among the most important religious centers of Christianity. Officially the seat of the bishop since 1095, it is also an important university center since the XVI century. Free lunch. After lunch guided tour of the city and visit the Cathedral of S. Giacomo with its high spires and the front square that are the heart of the city that is born and develops around the tomb of the saint. Accomodation, dinner and overnight to the hotel.

Departure for Guimarães, cradle of Portugal and birthplace of Alfonso Enrico, first sovereign of Lusitania. Visit the park and castle following a walk through the historic center, along its medieval streets, craft shops and noble houses. Continuation to PORT, the second city in Portugal, declared a World Heritage Site in 1996. The charming facades of its palaces, covered with bright tiles (Azulejos), give a particular charm create a perfect combination of ancient and modern.
Porto is an ancient fishing town, built on the banks of the Douro, full of special folk traditions. Free lunch. After lunch visit to the oldest and most traditional district of the city, on the banks of the river Douro the "Ribeira" with multicolored houses resting on the rocks. Visit to the São Francisco Church. Walk through the narrow streets of this typical district and visit a Port wine cellar and taste its precious wine. To end the day you can take a mini-cruise on the river Douro to get to know the 6 bridges of the city and for a magnificent view from the river. Accomodation, dinner and overnight to the hotel.

After breakfast departure for the visit of the historic center: the typical Sta Caterina street, up to the Central Station, entirely decorated with azulejos, the Cathedral Square and the Fort of the XXI century, both baroque, the Roman church, the cloisters decorated with «azulejos», the flowers' street adorned with baroque houses and the church S. Francesco and the Palace da Bolsa with its beautiful Arab room that we will have the opportunity to visit. Free lunch.
