DAY 1 ITALY - LISBON – SINTRA – CABO ROCA – CASCAIS – ESTORIL – LISBON

Arrival to Lisbon. Meeting with the guide and departure for SINTRA to visit this holiday place very appreciated by kings and nobles, town of lush natural beauty at the foot of the homonymous mountain: characteristics that have allowed it to be declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in the category of "natural landscape". Visit to the National Palace (separate entrance). We will continue to CAPO DA ROCA, the most western tip of Europe. We will continue to CASCAIS and ESTORIL, renowned bathing areas, privileged for their brightness and the sweetness of their climate, and ancient residences of kings and nobles. At the end of the day arrival at the hotel in LISBON for accomodation, dinner and overnight.

DAY 2 LISBON

After breakfast departure for Lisbon, the anthem of color, perched on seven hills on the banks of the Tagus, this city is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful capitals of Europe. Together we will discover the Belém district with its prestigious monuments erected in memory of the century of the great maritime discoveries: The Monument of the Discoveries, the elegant Tower of Belém, fort of the fifteenth century built on the Tagus and the Monastery dos Jerónimos – testimony of the gratitude of the country to the navigator Vasco da Gama for the discovery of the course of spices, maritime route to India.
Visit to the church of the Jeronimos Monastery (entrance to the cloister for a supplement) and taste the most famous dessert of Portugal, the "Pastel of Belém".We will continue with a visit to the heart of Lisbon "a Baixa" (lower town): Don Pedro IV Square, known as “Praça do Rossio”, “Plaça do Comércio”, and finally visit the most traditional and ancient district of the capital "Alfama", a real maze of coves with wrought iron terraces and its houses covered with majolica (azulejos). Free lunch. Return to the hotel, dinner and overnight.

DAY 3 LISBON – TOMAR – COIMBRA

After breakfast departure to TOMAR, seat of the knights templar. Visit of the city and the Convent of Christ (entrance fee), one of the most important monuments of artistic and historical value of Portugal; it was originally a fortress of the Order of Templars. Since 1983 it has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site. We will continue to COIMBRA, the ancient Portuguese capital famous for its university of the XI century, one of the oldest in the world.
Visit of the old town and the University and library (subject to availability).
Free lunch. Return to the hotel, dinner and overnight.

DAY 4 COIMBRA – AVERIO – PORTO

Breakfast at the hotel and departure for AVEIRO, to visit this beautiful town crossed by canals and surrounded by its lagoon, with its typical colored boats «Os moliceiros», is therefore often considered the Portuguese Venice.
We will continue to PORTO. Visit the oldest and most traditional district of the city, on the banks of the Douro River, the "Ribeira" district with multicolored houses resting on the rocks.
Free lunch. After lunch walk through the narrow streets of this typical district and visit to a Port wine cellar and tasting of its precious wine.
Arrival to the hotel for accomodation, dinner and overnight.

DAY 5 PORTO – BRAGA – GUIMARAES – PORTO

After breakfast departure to visit the city center, the main squares and the lively street of Santa Catarina full of traditional shops and local people. Visit the Central Station, the famous Torre dos Clérigos (exterior) and the Palacio da Bolsa, neoclassical building with the splendid neo-Arab hall (fee entrance). Continuation towards BRAGA for sightseeing and visit to the famous Bom Jesus Shrine. Continuation GUIMARAES, cradle of Portugal and birthplace of Alfonso Enrico, first sovereign of Lusitania. Walk through the old town, along its medieval streets, craft shops and noble houses. Visit the Palace of the Dukes of Bragança. Free lunch.
Return to the hotel for dinner and overnight.

DAY 6 PORTO- BATALHA – FATIMA – NAZARE' – OBIDOS

Breakfast at the hotel and departure towards BATALHA and visit to the Monastery of Santa Maria da Vitoria (fee visit to the cloister), Gothic-Manueline masterpiece built to celebrate the victory of the Portuguese against the Spanish and in memory of the maritime conquests.
After a brief stop at FATIMA, one of the world centres of the Christian faith. We will continue to NAZARÈ, a typical fishing village with a picturesque beach that has preserved its traditions and where from its promontory "the Sitio", you will admire a breathtaking view of the lower part of the village and the immense beach.
We will continue to OBIDOS, beautiful medieval town surrounded by walls of the XII century perfectly preserved. Free lunch. Accommodation, dinner and overnight in Obidos.

DAY 7 OBIDOS – LISBON – ITALY

Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to the airport for the return flight.
