Hills, sleepy old villages, Castles, some of the best rural landscapes and historic vineyards in Piedmont lay just 50 miles (80 km) from Milan or even less when you land at Milan Malpensa airport.
Monferrato is also the land of the Infernots, that have been recently listed in the Unesco World Heritage.
Infernots are underground rooms, hand carved into the Pietra da Cantoni, the local sandstone.
We will depart from your hotel in Milan (or in the neighbourhood) with our private driver/guide.
Our first stop is Casale Monferrato where a local guide will let us explore the town stopping for a coffee and taste some local specialties.
Free lunch (not included).
In the afternoon we will stop and see one of the Infernots in the hills that surround Casale. We will also stop among the picturesque vineyards and then head to our hotel for some relax and our dinner (not included)
Here you can also enjoy their indoor pool and spa.
After breakfast, visit of the Crea Sanctuary situated on the top of a nearby hill.
Free lunch in Vignale Monferrato and stop by the Uviglie castle for a wine tasting in their cellar.
Return to Milan before dinner time.
