Orvieto a city with almost three thousands years of history and Civita di Bagnoregio sitting on a plateau of tufo stone, a medieval city which can be reached only by a footbridge. As this tufo stone is deteriorating, it is thought that the city will not survive for long and this is why it is called “the dying city”.

We will depart from Rome to Orvieto and Civita di Bagnoregio with our private driver and guide.

Your first stop is  Orvieto. The location of Orvieto has made it one of the most famous cities in Italy and an important city from a strategic, political and religious point of view at various points in Italy’s history. Orvieto is located on the summit of vertical tuff cliffs, offering spectacular views from above. Here you will admire important monuments such as the Cathedral and the ancient Papal Residence.

Our tour continues to Civita di Bagnoregio located on top of a giant rock and connected to the main land only by a bridge.
