Departure from Siena with the historic steam train. Through the Val d'Arbia and the Ombrone Valley you will reach the Monte Antico station, where there is a 25-minute stop during which it will be possible to take videos or photos of the locomotive in maneuver and when it will refuel the tender. Then departure towards Torrenieri, crossing the Crete Senesi, the Val D'Orcia Park (Unesco heritage) and the Brunello di Montalcino areas. Arrival in Torrenieri at approximately 11:20. We will got off the train and continued by bus to San Quirico D'Orcia. Time available for a visit to the medieval historic center and to participate in the "kermesse".
At 1.00 pm lunch in a typical restaurant.
After lunch departure for the trekking route along the ancient Via Francigena from San Quirico d'Orcia to Bagno Vignoni (5 km, medium-low difficulty) and return by bus.
At 3:30 pm guided tasting. At 4.30 pm departure of the bus from Bagno Vignoni, for San Quirico and then for the Torrenieri railway station, here we will continue with the steam train till Siena.
