HIGHLIGHTS

Al-Khor is located on the north-eastern coast of Qatar and its name derives from the arab word khawr (bay). Al-Khor is a former fishing village and is known today for its beaches and for the ancient Fort of Al-Zubarah.

Program
Visit to the coastal village of Al-Khor, once center of the fishing industry and the collection of pearls. Al-Khor, with its beautiful beaches, is today one of the favorite places from Qatari. The visit continues towards the ancient Fort of Al-Zubarah, erected between the XVII and XIX century. The area was recognized by UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2013. Finally, visit to the Fortess of Umm Salal, in the 19th century recidence of Fast Jassim Bin Mohammed al-Thani.
