DAY 1 Rome - Assisi - Siena - Florence

Departing from your hotel, you will arrive in Assisi, world famous as the house of Saint Francis.
You can visit the basilica of Saint Francis, where you will see masterpieces by Giotto and Cimabue and discover why it is a fundamental place of pilgrimage.
Free lunch.
Board on the bus to reach Siena, Piazza del Campo, unique for its particular and original shell shape, it is renowned worldwide for its beauty and architectural integrity.
Next, you will continue on to Florence, where you will check-in at your hotel before enjoying dinner.

DAY 2 Florence

After breakfast, you will spend the day venturing around beautiful Florence. You will be amazed walking through the streets and squares and you will discover masterpieces in every corner of this beautiful city.

After lunch you will see the Duomo, the Baptistery, the Churches of Santa Maria Novella and Santa Croce, Ponte Vecchio and the Uffizi Gallery.

DAY 3 Florence - Bologna - Padua - Venice

After breakfast in Florence, departure to Bologna, where you can visit Piazza Maggiore, that is the main square of Bologna and surrounded by the most important buildings of the medieval city.

In the afternoon, continue toward Padova, with Sant'Antonio Basilica: one of the most visited churches by pilgrims of the catholic world.

DAY 4 Venice

After breakfast, enjoy your transfer to Piazza San Marco, visit the most iconic places of the "Floating City".

After lunch, spend the afternoon roaming along Venice's canals at your leisure.

DAY 5 Venice - Tuscany Wine Region - Rome

After breakfast, departing from Piazzale Roma heading to Tuscany.
You will proceed to Val di Chiana, that was the granary of Etruria and is still today one of the exclusive breeding area of a highly prized beef breed, called precisely "Chianina".
Then you will visit Montepulciano, known for its "Nobile" wine, on purchase in local wine houses.

After lunch, quick stop to spend some free time.
In the evening, you will arrive in Rome.

DAY 6 Rome

After breakfast, departure from the hotel for the included tour of the Vatican Museums,that are the national museum of the Vatican City; they occupy a large part of the vast courtyard of the Belvedere and are one of the largest art collections in the world.
The tour will continue with Sistine Chapel, that is the main Chapel of the Apostolic Palace, as well as one of the most famous cultural and artistic treasures of the Vatican City, in the Vatican Museums.

DAY 7 Rome

Enjoy an energetic breakfast at your hotel before spending the day exploring Rome on your own or by selecting one of our regular tours in the city or its surroundings.
Return to the hotel for your last overnight in Rome.

DAY 8 Rome - Naples - Pompeii - Sorrento

After breakfast departure by coach heading south crossing the regions of Lazio and Campania.
Arrival in Naples and short panoramic tour climbing up to Vomero hill to enjoy beautiful views over the Gulf of Naples with the Vesuvius, Capri, Ischia and Procida and the city below; time to take some nice pictures.
Descending you will leave the city and travel south towards Mount Vesuvius, where you will begin your climb by foot to reach the top, almost 1000 m. above sea level and enjoy a spectacular view of the entire Gulf of Naples.
Then you reach the town of Pompeii, a city which has remained unchanged over time.
You will have lunch with the real Neapolitan pizza!
After lunch, you will enter into one of the most important archaeological sites in the world.
After the visit you will drive along the Sorrentine Coast.
Arrive to Sorrento, that is famous for the view of the sea and Piazza Tasso.
Dinner and overnight in the hotel.

DAY 9 Sorrento - Capri - Sorrento

After breakfast, an exciting to the island of Capri, that is a jewel nestled among the rocks in the Gulf of Naples.
Depending on weather and sea conditions, you will admire the dreamy Blue Grotto on a small rowboat.
Afterward, enjoy lunch and then roam the island at your own pace.

DAY 10 Sorrento - Palermo (Overnight on ferry boat)

Breakfast at your hotel, then spend a leisurely morning exploring Sorrento.
In the afternoon, you will reach the port of Naples, where you will board on the ferry to Palermo.

You can visit the Cathedral of Santa Maria Nuova, that is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site and is considered one of the most important medieval churches in the world.

Back to Palermo and continue with a walking tour of the city.

DAY 13 Palermo - Erice - Saline della Laguna - Agrigento

Breakfast and departure to Erice, that is ancient medieval village full of archaeological treasures.
Continue along the way of salt, the Saline, on which stand the windmills, in which small and large enterprises exercise the millenary activity of the "cultivation" of salt.

After lunch, travel to Agrigento, visit ancient monuments and ruins at the Valley of Temples, that is one of the most extensive, representative and best preserved archaeological sites of classical Greek civilization.

DAY 14 Agrigento - Piazza Armerina - Ragusa Ibla - Ragusa

Breakfast at the hotel and travel to Piazza Armerina, a beautiful city of art, nestled in the center of Sicily, boasts a long series of monuments.
Entrance in Villa Romana del Casale to admire the largest, richest and most complex Roman mosaics in the world.
Departure to Ragusa and visit of the enchanting historical center "Ibla".
Arrive in the hotel for dinner and overnight.

DAY 15 Ragusa - Noto - Siracusa - Taormina

Breakfast at the hotel and travel to Noto and then have a nice walk in the town's center.
Continue along the south coast to Syracuse; visit "Parco Archeologico della Neapolis".
After the visit, cross one of the city's bridges for a visit to the island of Ortygia, the most ancient part of Syracuse, home to a wealth of Baroque churches and medieval palaces.
In the late afternoon arrive in Taormina.

DAY 16 Taormina

Breakfast at your hotel and then head off to Mount Etna, the largest active volcano in Europe.
If weather permits, you have a change to climb to the summit (1800 m.). After, return to Taormina, the beautiful and romantic own located on Mount Tauro.
