DAY 1
DAY 1

Arrival in Rome and transfer to the hotel.
In the afternoon guided walking tour to discover the real essence of Rome.
You will cross the center of Rome, passing through Via dei Fori Imperiali, Piazza Venezia and Via del Corso, until you reach the spectacular Trevi Fountain, one of the most famous monuments in the world.
A walk through picturesque alleys will lead you to the famous Spanish Steps, with its Fontana della Barcaccia, sculpted by Pietro and Gian Lorenzo Bernini, in the early 1600s, while the Trinità dei Monti church stands on the top of the staircase. . Continuing along the exclusive Via Condotti, you will reach Piazza Colonna and than Piazza della Rotonda where you can admire one of the most fascinating buildings of ancient Rome: the Pantheon and the marble fountain designed by Giacomo della Porta in 1575.
But this tour does not end here!
Crossing Piazza Sant'Eustachio you will arrive in CarignanoPiazza Navona, built on the ruins of the stadium wanted by the emperor Domitian. Around the square you can admire: Palazzo Pamphilj, the church of S. Agnese in Agone, designed by Francesco Borromini and the fountain "Quattro Fiumi", created by the rival of Borromini, Gian Lorenzo Bernini.

This morning, after breakfast, you will retrace, together with your guide thw stages of the Oscar winning-film The Great Beauty.
You will start by entering the Colosseum, dating back to the year 80 D.C. and known as the Flavian Amphitheater, the true symbol of the Roman Empire. After admiring the Colosseum, you will continue to the ruins of the Roman Forum, considered an important place of commerce and exchange, located between the Palatine, Capitoline and Esquiline hills.
In Piazza del Campidoglio, you can see a masterpiece of Michelangelo standing between the Capitoline Museums and the Palazzo del Comune of Rome: the statue of Marcus Aurelius. Walking down the hill we will reach a very picturesque part of old Rome, the Circus Maximus, the largest sports facility of antiquity, which once hosted the exciting chariot races. After a short climb, you enter the romantic Giardino degli Aranci, surrounded by the medieval walls and the ruins of the Savelli fortress. From this corner of paradise you can enjoy one of the most extraordinary views of the Eternal City, from the banks of the Tiber up to the Basilica of St. Peter.
Continuing to reach the Basilica of Santa Sabina, perhaps the perfect example of the first christian churches in Rome. The last stop will be that of the famous keyhole on the Aventine hill, from where it will be possible to give a special peek at the dome of St. Peter.

After breakfast we will reach Florence by train.
Once arrived you will meet the guide to begin your renaissance walk, talking about the Medici family who left in Florence countless masterpieces and how life changes forever during this epic period of the history of the city.
This walking tour includes the Duomo, Giotto's Bell Tower, Baptistery, Ponte Vecchio, Piazza della Signoria and Palazzo Vecchio .
These are just a few of the important landmarks you will see during this sightseeing tour.

After breakfast, departure to San Gimignano and guided tour of the medieval village, declared a world heritage site by Unesco, the city is also renowned for its Vernaccia of San Gimignano wine, saffron and the precious Santa Fina ceramics, you will delight your eyes and its beauty will leave you breathless. The guide will accompany you to every corner of this city characterized by enchanting squares, splendid buildings, ancient churches and suggestive alleys.
Our tour continues to Siena, the city of the famous Palio, which is probably the most famous of all hill towns in Tuscany, guided tour of Piazza del Campo, the exterior of the Palazzo Comunale and the Torre del Mangia.
Return to Florence and overnight.
